Get your Firefox in Sync

First off you should be using Firefox and NOT Internet Explorer. Now that we have that out of the way… If you have more than one computer that you use on a regular basis, I recommend installing the following Firefox add-ons to keep everything in sync on the computers you use. Siphon – this one will keep all your other add-ons in sync Weave – this one will sync your bookmarks, passwords, filled-in forms, in short pretty much everything else. One more for extra credit… Delicious Bookmarks – allows easy access to your Delicious.com bookmarks.
Ditch that USB drive

Yes I’m writing content for my blog in the middle of the night. I should be sleeping I know. Tired of using a USB ( key, stick, etc. ) to keep files you need to work on in multiple places? IMAP connections limit fix

So yeah, sometimes I bang my head against a problem for too long before I give up and call support. ( about 2 1/2 hours last night ) Since I switched from shared hosting with 1and1 to a 1and1 VPS I’ve been really impressed with the dedicated server support I get now. Last night server support finally failed me. I was trying to set up 3 e-mail accounts via IMAP and they wouldn’t all connect at the same time. When I called support the dude told me that it must be my ISP limiting the number of IMAP connections. I More >
New Mood = New Theme

So I finally put in some time on MY site this morning instead of the other projects I have going, and changed my theme. In the process I learned that the great themes from digitalnature don’t always play well together. Some of the settings from Arclite and Mystique were being carried back and forth from one theme to the other. I tried clearing the settings from the database, but that didn’t fix it. I ended up deleting Arclite since I’m going to use Mystique for a while now. I still haven’t found the “perfect” theme for my site, nor do I More >
