Death and Taxes

Death and taxes… The bar I used to work at managed to withhold a whopping $4.36 in taxes for the entire time I worked there this year. This dropped my tax return down to about zero. ( According to the estimator I used ) So much for the vacation I wanted to take. I”ll have to wait a little ( lot ) longer I suppose. It would be nice if I could find someone to go with me as well. Sunday Night
Feb 8th
Well here I am. Another Sunday night with nothing exciting to write about. I survived my mom being in town for a teacher’s convention. ( Barely ) We fought about loan stuff. I guess that’s better than it could have been. I spent Friday night with the guys at the fraternity house. That’s always a good time. I’m not looking forward to going to work tomorrow but that’s what Mondays are for I guess.
Cell Phone Rant

Yeah well as it turns out, my new phone didn’t rock. I had a Sony Ericsson T608 from Sprint for about a week. The phone was amazingly slow when doing pretty much anything. I was able to pair it with my desktop and Palm T3 via bluetooth, but when I tried to access the internet on the palm using bluetooth and Vision I managed to get 3 pages on average loaded before the connection would just die. The only solution I found for this problem was disconnecting the palm and power-cycling the phone. This makes having the bluetooth wireless connection More >
Radiator Fixed

So I’m pretty excited because they fixed the radiator in my apartment without tearing up anyting too badly. I was afraid I would come home to a disaster area. You can see the places they had to break through the wall, but eventually paint will fix that. The horrible hissing noise is gone now and hopefully the paint will stop bubbling off the wall. I’m bored now so I think I’ll go to sleep.
Why did I call Canada?

I now know that when I screwed up trying to call HP tech support and got the Canadian support line that I actually called Canada. That mistake is going to cost me $7.14 on my cell phone bill this month. Damn that’s annoying. By the way, my new computer is still working perfectly. I might be getting a new cell phone and ( if I can sell the old one ) a new palm pilot. I have to check tomorrow and see if the order went through. I’m bored and it’s too early to go to sleep. Meh.
