I haven’t had much to post about lately. I still don’t know what I’m going to do about my wrist. ( The choices are live with the pain and instability, or have it fused straight. ) My pdoc and I are still working to find a cocktail of meds that will keep my depression at bay. ( I’m in a better place than a was a few weeks ago. ) And finally, I just don’t understand why my sister is stuck on names that start with K for her new baby. ( That must be something I wasn’t meant to understand. )

Another ortho doc would be nice since the one I saw said I can either live with the pain and a pretty much non-functional wrist, or have it fused straight for the rest of my life. I’m just not really thrilled about that.

So, I’m lucky enough to have never been kicked repeatedly in the face. Should that ever happen, I’ll know what to expect. For those of you I haven’t talked to in the past couple weeks, I had a gum graft done on Wednesday. My labret piercing is long gone. It caused serious erosion on one of my lower teeth. Everything should be fixed once the graft heals. I’m pretty beat down right now and I won’t be able to eat anything using my front teeth for about 3 months. This sucks. If I’m lucky I might get to eat some real food for my birthday.
With no end in sight for the shoulder saga, I’m starting to get worried about becoming hooked on the meds. I have an appointment with my doc friday to discuss it. If nothing else, it might make me feel better for making the effort.

The shoulder is still all f’ed up. I got the MRI done. Basically it showed marked swelling of the tissue and bone marrow, but nothing to pinpoint the cause of that swelling. Now I have to see a joint specialist. ( Quit laughing potheads ) It looks like I’ll be living in Vicodinland for quite a while longer. And remember kids, take the stronger pain pills AFTER you pack for a trip, not before. I think I packed a pair of underwear, 2 t-shirts, and a sock. I should double-check that in the morning.
