Yay Amtrak

I’d just like to mention how much I love riding Amtrak. ( insert sarcasm here ) I think they over sold the train because there weren’t many people, but they crammed us into just a few seats. I can’t even get to a power outlet until some people get off. Why is going home always a pain in the ass? At least I can watch movies or play games as long as the battery in the laptop holds out.

Sunday Night

Well here I am. Another Sunday night with nothing exciting to write about. I survived my mom being in town for a teacher’s convention. ( Barely ) We fought about loan stuff. I guess that’s better than it could have been. I spent Friday night with the guys at the fraternity house. That’s always a good time. I’m not looking forward to going to work tomorrow but that’s what Mondays are for I guess.

My time at home went pretty well. I never know when to expect when I go home, but I guess this trip was okay. I didn’t make it to the ride today because I was really tired and feeling crappy when I got back to my apartment. Oh well…

Heading Home

Yay vacation… I’m going home to visit my family for the Thanksgiving holiday. I’m leaving tonight and I’ll be back Sunday. I hope I can retain my sanity and possibly even have a little fun. I’m hoping against hope that the train isn’t completely packed, however I know it probably will be. Grrr… I’m bored and it’s not time to leave yet. There is nothing for me to do at work today, so I’m just sitting here making up stuff to write and listening to music. I hope I can sleep on the train. Wow, this is a pointless entry. More >

Family Fun

The performance of the site may decrease some over the next couple days. I’m trying to run a virtual server on the same box using VMWare. So far it seems to be working, but the performance of the primary linux system is, of course, going to suffer some. Hopefully it won’t be a big deal. If the virtual server thing doesn’t work out things will go back to normal.
