I’ve been going through a really bad depressive episode and my cocktail of medications is not working properly right now. That’s my excuse for not posting anything in quite a while. It’s been so bad that I’ve had to be off work. I really want to get back to work. I’m getting pretty tired of not having anything to do except lay around and wait to see if the newest cocktail of meds is going to work. Luckily my family has been very supportive through this whole mess, and that has helped a lot. I don’t get to see my doctor again until Tuesday, when we have to decide if the current cocktail is working or not, ( so far I’m saying no to that one ) and if necessary we have to decide what to try next. I’m going to push for the off-label use of Mirapex as an addition to what I’m already taking, as well as backing the Abilify back down to where it was at 10mg/day. ( Don’t worry if you have no idea what I’m talking about, this is mostly for me to be able to refer back to later if I need to. )

In the airport
Dec 26
Here I am in the airport. The whirlwind family Christmas tour is nearly over. It’s 8:21 PM and my flight doesn’t leave until 10:10 PM. I’m here early so my mom and sister could drive home and get there at a decent time. I think I survived the trip pretty well. There were no major blow-ups. My grandma on my mom’s side was doing much better than I expected her to be. I was very worried about spending the day with her today. Other than the fact that my mom dropped me off at the wrong terminal, everything at the airport has gone smoothly. I had no problems getting through security with an expired driver’s license. The hand held wand beeped at both of my nipple piercings, but the screener said he didn’t want to see them when I offered. I bought a magazine for the plane ( and partially for the wait beforehand ) and now I’m relaxing and writing this mess. I really just want to get home and go to sleep. I’m soooooo tired.

Just leaving
Jul 2
As I write this, my train is rolling out of the station. It is exactly on time. I’m sitting in the car just behind the engine, but with my new earrbuds the only thing I can hear is my music. I love that. Today was a very, very hectic day. I spent too much time getting the laptop ready to take with me, and not enough time packing, not to mention I left much later than I intended to. The consultation I had with the oral surgeon was very straightforward. They took the x-ray they needed, the doctor discussed the procedure, and I asked the questions I had. The only minor bump is the fact that anytime you undergo a procedure with general anesthesia you need to have someone over 18 there to make sure you get home okay. I wasn’t counting on this, but I think I have someone that can be there for me. I’m looking forward to spending a day or two away from the city. I’ve been thinking about it, and I’ve come to the conclusion that this trip is because I want to see my mom after her biking accident.
I survived the trip home for my sister’s high school graduation. I have a ton of new pictures that need to be posted in the gallery. Hopefully I’ll get to that sometime soon.
