Back on the bike

I should have posted this last night but I was tired and sleep is fun. I haven’t been on either of my bikes since I got all my wisdom teeth extracted. I was bored last night so I decided to check out an alternative rock show at the Adler Planetarium. It was a nice night so I decided to ride down there. It felt really great to be riding again. Friday July 30, 2004 5:30 PM Daley Plaza Bring a bike and be there for the CCM3K. In the summer of 2003, the 1000 Rider Critical Mass was our largest ride in Chicago to date.
This month’s ride is being promoted as the 3000 Rider Critical Mass, or CCM3K ride, with widespread flyering, posters, press releases, and an ad in the Chicago Reader.

June Critical Mass

I finally made it to my first Critical Mass of the summer. The route was a South Side ride, ending up at U of C / Hyde Park. It was a very mellow ride with almost no problems. The only minor issue happened as we were heading south on Halstead from 31st. I was in the back of the mass and a woman in an SUV decided she didn’t want to go slow behind us so she cut over into the oncoming lane to race around us. Of course I gave chase.
