I don't know anything about bass fishing…
The right thing to do
So yeah, the story from saturday night… I started work at 3 PM as usual. The bar was playing host to a jr. high dance for charity from 6 – 10 PM so I spent most of my shift setting up for that. Most of the kids showed up right on time and packed the place within an hour. When my boss came in to start his night shift at about 8 ( 2 hours left in the party ) he said that I could punch out since the door guys didn’t have anything to do except haul ice. I went and punched out and went outside for a cig ( damn kids, we couldn’t even smoke inside ) So while I’m out there I realize that I might as well just hang there and have some drinks once the party gets over and the kids get out. I ended up staying on the door and helping the guy that was there. At the very end of the party, the owner’s wife shows up and I talked to her for second before she went in, basically just telling her that the party was going well and people seemed to be having a good time. When she came back out she slipped me a tip which I of course pretended to decline before putting it in my pocket. After the party ended I went inside and glanced at the bill to see what I had. I saw the corner of a 1 so I assumed it was a $10. Not bad for not really doing anything… A while later when I went into my pocket again to pay for the take-out I was getting I realized that there was a $100 in there. Boy was I surprised. Since I was pretty shocked and a little drunk I decided to have the manager split it between all the door guys that worked the party that night. I’m pissed at myself for doing it, and I keep thinking about all the stuff I could have purchased with that money, but I know it was the right thing to do.
