I thought the weekend was supposed to be relaxing… I woke up at about 10 this morning after going to bed at 3:30 AM. I managed to drag myself to the shower and then out to get a bagel and a cup of tea. I promptly came back ate the bagel and went back to sleep. Wierd huh? Anyway… The ride last night was fan-freakin-tastic. Good weather, huge turnout, couldn’t ask for more. We rode for a while, then we got some beer. While we were waiting at the store for everybody that went inside, we started talking to some other people that came by and they invited us to a party that was nearby. It turns out it was a party that I had gotten invited to a couple days ago. We got everybody together and decided to roll down and check the party out. We got there and they were charging $10 a person at the door because it was a fundraiser party for some people going to Burning Man. Since we already had beer we didn’t want to pay to party. One guy there said we should just go around back and get in that way. That totally failed. A guy came out and said we were making too much noise. He said we could either pay and come inside or else we had to get out of there. We all drank another beer, made some more noise, and left. Soldier field was close so we went there. The best part of the night was spending 2 hours on the grass jumps at Soldier with nobody bothering us.

Before the ride, ( this is a reverse entry in case you were confused ) I spent most of the day at Market Days on Halstead. It was super crowded. ( as usual ) I can now say that I own a kilt. The guys from utilikilts.com were there selling their wares. I saw them there last year, and have been checking out the site ever since. I really wanted to get one, but I was wary about buying one without being able to try it on and actually see how they fit. I found one I really liked so I bought it. You may think this makes me wierd, but you probably already thought that, so whatever.

Now back to Friday night, I got some amazing fire spinning pictures that I’ll get posted in the gallery when I have time. I think now I’m going back to Market Days to take more pictures. I didn’t take many yesterday. Tonight I want to go to Brew and View, they are showing a couple movies I like.
