Bar Exam Rant
Getting up at the butt crack of dawn just plain sucks. I had to be at work early because of the Illinois Bar Exam. I guess the thing is so long you need almost 12 hours a day to work on it. Anyway, the idea was that the circulation manager would come in and unlock and open the library and all I would have to do is make sure the computers worked and were logged in. Well, the guy from circ was here and had the library open on time but the main doors to the building were still locked and the fat security guard wouldn’t let me in even after I showed him my ID. After standing around for almost 20 minutes I got fed up and explained ( half yelling ) to the guard that people would be showing up soon to take the bar exam and that they couldn’t do it without me. He finally let me in. So now the bar exam is rolling and I’m sitting here wishing I was still asleep with nothing to do.
I’m excited because I should have my new bike on Friday, and my new pads and helmet and such are on their way to me. It will be great to get out and ride on a bike that I don’t have to worry about breaking every five minutes. I can’t wait to get my P2 rolling and write a review of it. Note to Specialized: Ditch those RST Forks… They lick goat balls. The Hardrock line seems nice overall, the frames are hefty and over-built, but the components can’t take any kind of abuse at all.
